Iran Threatens Trump – and those death threats from Iran against Donald Trump are getting louder! In Tehran, mourners at the state funeral for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed at the start of the war, carried giant banners reading “Kill Trump” through the streets. The U.S. president himself has repeatedly said in recent days that he is at the top of the mullahs’ hit list, warning that any attack on him would trigger devastating retaliation against Iran.
Now a former senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a chilling warning. Hossein Kanani Moghaddam claimed that Tehran has the ability to assassinate the U.S. president — even inside the White House. “If the goal is to assassinate Trump, the Islamic Republic can easily do so in the White House,” he told the Iranian website Fararu, according to the New York Post. “Whenever necessary, we are capable of doing that.”
Iran Threatens Trump During Frozen Talks
Moghaddam also made clear that Iran does not see the current talks with Washington as real peace negotiations. “We are not negotiating with the Americans for peace,” he said, adding that Tehran is only seeking to reduce tensions and restore what it calls its rights. His most ominous line: “As for revenge and retaliation, they remain firmly on the table.”
Trump, meanwhile, is pushing deeper into military escalation. Overnight, the U.S. launched another round of strikes against Iranian targets, especially along the coast near the Strait of Hormuz. A full-blown battle has erupted around the world’s most important oil route. Trump is steering a zigzag course: on the one hand, he insists the sea lane is “open.” On the other hand, he announced a 20 percent “Trump toll” on ships passing through the strait, saying the U.S. will now act as the “guardian” of Hormuz and should be paid for securing it.
Shipping Giants Push Back
Trump justifies the fee as compensation for future U.S. protection of the route. But major shipping companies have reacted with alarm. Tankers are again backing up in the Gulf. On Sunday, only a handful of tankers made it through the bottleneck, according to recent shipping reports. Critics also warn that a U.S.-imposed toll could violate international maritime law, which is supposed to guarantee free passage through key global waterways.
For Trump, the threat from Tehran is now personal. He has warned on Truth Social that the U.S. would “decimate and destroy” Iran if there were an attempt on his life, according to Fox News and CBS. The president has also claimed that thousands of missiles are ready if Tehran tries to carry out an assassination plot. His message to the mullahs: any attack on him would bring punishment on a scale Iran has never seen.
