Sourcing

America Report bases its reporting on credible and identifiable sources. These may include:

  • Official government statements, documents and public records
  • Court filings, legislation and regulatory documents
  • Interviews with officials, experts, witnesses and other relevant individuals
  • Reputable news agencies and established media organizations
  • Academic research, industry data and recognized professional institutions
  • Verified photographs, videos, satellite images and social-media posts

Whenever possible, we link to or clearly identify the original source of information. Reports based on another news organization’s work are attributed prominently. We do not present another publication’s reporting as our own original reporting.

Anonymous sources are used only when the information is important, cannot reasonably be obtained on the record and the source is in a position to know the facts. Their identity must be known to the editor. We explain the reason for anonymity whenever doing so does not place the source at risk.

Fact-Checking and Verification

Before publication, stories are reviewed for factual accuracy, context and clarity. Names, dates, locations, figures, quotations and official titles are checked against source material whenever possible.

Major or disputed claims should be supported by more than one credible source or by authoritative documentation. Information from social media, eyewitness videos or other user-generated material is not treated as verified until its origin, date, location and context have been examined.

Breaking-news reports may develop quickly. When complete verification is not yet possible, America Report clearly attributes preliminary information and avoids presenting uncertain claims as established fact.

Quotes and Interviews

Direct quotations are reproduced accurately and in context. Quotes may be shortened for clarity, but their meaning must not be altered.

When interviews are translated, America Report aims to preserve the speaker’s meaning, tone and level of certainty. Any significant translation uncertainty is disclosed.

Analysis and Opinion

News reporting is separated from commentary and opinion. Articles containing substantial interpretation, analysis or personal viewpoints should be clearly labeled.

AmericaReport.us does not knowingly present speculation as fact. Predictions and assessments are attributed to the person or institution making them.

How We Use Artificial Intelligence

We utilize Generative AI (Large Language Models) as a primary tool in our newsroom. Its use is categorized into three main areas:

  • SEO Optimization: AI is used to ensure our headlines, meta descriptions, and tags meet current search engine standards to make our news accessible to a wider audience.

Human Oversight and Fact-Checking

Artificial Intelligence is not the final authority at AmericaReport.us. * Mandatory Review: Every article generated with the assistance of AI undergoes a review process by a human editor.

  • Verification: Our editors are responsible for cross-referencing AI-generated claims against primary sources (e.g., Reuters, AP, official government statements).

  • Correction: We actively correct hallucinations or tonal inconsistencies inherent in AI models before publication.

Disclosure and Labeling (The NewsGuard Standard)

In accordance with the 2026 EU AI Act and NewsGuard Transparency Standards, we clearly label our content:

  • AI-Assisted: Articles drafted by AI but significantly edited, fact-checked, and verified by a human.

  • AI-Generated: Content where the bulk of the text was produced by an AI system (these articles include a specific disclaimer at the bottom of the page).

  • Bylines: We do not use “generic” or “fake” human personas. Articles will be attributed to the human editor responsible for the final review or to the “AmericaReport.us Editorial AI” with a clear transparency link.

Prohibited Uses of AI

  • Misleading Content: We do not use AI to create “Deepfakes,” manipulate images of public figures, or generate “fake news” intended to deceive.

  • Opinion Masking: AI is used for factual reporting; editorial opinions and political commentary remain the product of human authors.

Corrections and Updates

AmericaReport.us corrects factual errors promptly and transparently. Substantive corrections should be explained in a correction note attached to the article.

Articles may also be updated as new information becomes available. When an update materially changes the story, the article should display a revised publication time or an update note.

Minor spelling, grammar or formatting changes may be made without a separate correction notice when they do not alter the meaning of the article.
