The meetings reportedly took place without Trump in the White House Situation Room. The goal was to contain a political crisis that had angered parts of Trump’s own base.

At the center was one explosive problem: MAGA voters had long demanded full transparency about Epstein. But when the Trump administration moved cautiously, conspiracy theories erupted.

Vance Pushes Transparency

Vance reportedly argued for maximum disclosure. That included discussion of even embarrassing and unverified allegations involving Trump. One claim cited from civil litigation alleged sexually aggressive conduct by Trump involving a young woman.
